Professional Development for TEACHERS Of English Learners
FUNDING AND DISTRICT REIMBURSEMENT
SB 472 ELPD is a professional development program that builds on the content of the SB 472 Mathematics or Reading Language Arts trainings therefore, teachers need to have completed one of those basic 40 hour trainings prior to doing SB 472 ELPD. The reimbursement provision for SB 472 ELPD is in addition to the reimbursement for the basic trainings. The chart below illustrates the flow of reimbursement for SB 472 trainings.

SB 472 Reimbursement Break-down
To apply for reimbursement funding:
1. Complete a CDE Application for Participation. This is a general estimate of the number of participants intended to participate during the fiscal year.
2. Complete a CDE Application for Reimbursement. Once the training provider has provided completion information to the district, the district can an application for reimbursement.
