Transitional kindergarten is a critical reform bridging the path from preschool to K-12!
Transitional Kindergarten will provide our youngest kindergarteners with a readiness year that is developmentally appropriate.

Transitional kindergarten gives young learners a critical head start.

SMCOE is working closely with San Mateo County districts to interpret the requirements, to create local templates and tools, and to provide professional  development and support for teachers.
